60s Audition Offset Slide Guitar Rebuild
$600.00
Description
You know I had to do it to em:
Audition offset turned stand up slide monster!
New: Hyperbolater humbucker, primo electronics (CTS pots/Sprague Orange Drop cap/Switchcraft jack), Gotoh tuners, tall bone nut, green “sea glass” acrylic guard.
Frets have been pulled, the slots have been filled with solid maple and sanded flat. It’s strung with flatwounds and currently tuned to open D but would excel in any open tuning. Bridge and trem are original except for the trem arm.
The guitar has plenty of nicks, dings, checking, finish shrinkage along the fretboard/neck joint, etc – it shows its age, but is rock solid and perfect at its new job, which is ripping slide licks.
You could run it as a fretless with a lower nut, but that’s not what it was born to do. These do not have adjustable truss rods and were made with flat fretboards (no radius) in the first place, so this is really their best use.
Includes original case.
